John Dee – Snow Central Forecaster

John Dee, a private meteorologist from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, loves snow central forecaster and the outdoors. A former meteorologist for the National Weather Service, he left to pursue his passion of custom snow forecasts. Dee feels he is able to offer better forecasts than the National Weather Service and has quickly become a “go-to” source for snow enthusiasts. If you want to get up-to-date information on snow conditions, check out his website.

As a young man, Dee was a city worker in Chicago when he decided to become a meteorologist. He once dreamed of driving a four-wheel-drive truck through the woods. His childhood ambitions were realized when he took an introductory course in meteorology at Purdue University. Despite his dislike for classroom work, Dee decided to pursue a career in meteorology after an introductory course at an agricultural college.

Sunday is relatively quiet across the region, but on Monday, a shot of cooler air is expected to generate a LES in the UP snow belts. The next clipper-type system will form over ND on Tuesday. The daytime high temperature will stay below freezing for at least the next four days. Until then, winter will continue to threaten the Upper Midwest. So, prepare for a cold snap! But don’t fret! There’s still time to take advantage of the weather!
